According to Rosati, travelling with friends, family or loving partners is sometimes troublesome. Stepping out of the comfort zone and travelling solo will be a new thing that is worth trying especially for those who love  the idea of globetrotting party-of-one style.

However, for those who have never travelled alone, it might be risky to roam around a foreign country. Therefore, with her experience of travelling over 50 countries by herself, Rosati has listed out her top 8 countries for the first-time solo travellers and in her top 1 of the list is Vietnam.

In her post, she stated that Vietnam is a Southeast Asian sliver of adventure, paradise, beauty, delicious eats, nature and beyond. Vietnam is one of the destinations that can satisfy all types of travellers and has been one of avid travellers’ favourite nations. Vietnam is safe, cheap, beautiful and full of adventure, said Rosati.

First city to be mentioned when coming to Vietnam is Ha Noi. Ha Noi is a vibrant city with motorbikes buzzing through the streets from all different directions. Rosati recommended travellers to try Bun Cha (a dish with rice noodle and grilled pork), it became popular since the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama and great chef Anthony Bourdain tasted it in their business trip to Vietnam. Vietnam not only has the buzzling cities but also charming Ha Long Bay, a World’s Natural Heritage. Travellers can head south to Da Nang for a city escape, where white sandy beaches and tranquil towns welcome expats from all over the world to relax.

Attemptedly, Vietnam is an affordable country, where they offer breakfasts from $2. Public transports are always ready for travelling around the country with an average of $5 per ticket.
